  5. I’m a first year baby boomer, retired hairdresser after 43 years in the business and new author of Split Ends by Franelle. I hate the gym and glad to find others who do also. I’ve always loved to travel and would not hesitate to sell everything and hit the road. Life sometimes gets in the way, but we just have to push on just like we did when we were young, blissful and indestructible, or so we thought. I still like to think that and ignore most of the aches and pains that comes with having a blast most of my life. My husband and I have moved around the country for the last 25 years. We have no kids and no particular roots. I tend to think that rather boring. Although now, it would be nice to have some family to look after us if we ever get to that point.
I call on all boomers to stay strong and young at heart and don’t let the last part of our time on the planet go to waste. Live life NOW and WOW the younger folks who think they know it all.
